About Us
Mary comes from a family steeped in tax prep. Her paternal grandma, Pat, started preparing taxes out of her home in the mid sixties. (She was also the de facto math teacher for a number of her home-schooled grandkids!) Needles to say, when it came to numbers she was in her element. Mary’s dad and uncle (Ken and Steve) joined the family business in the early nineties, eventually moving into their own space just south of Butternut, Michigan.
For several years Mary has been learning the “in’s and out’s” of the business by working each tax season in her dad and uncle’s office. Where most folks would be daunted by tax code, Mary is intrigued and interested. While working under her dad early on in her training he would give her unusually complex returns to work on, to see if she would get tripped up, and more often than not she would be able to sort them out properly! Ken’s decades of tax experience continue to be a resource Mary can avail herself of. Also, to better serve her clients Mary spends several hours each year, before the tax season starts, completing professional development and training to stay on top of any and all new tax codes.
Mary continues the tradition of working out of her home that her grandmother started almost 60 years ago, and she looks forward to working with you!
